Typically, our hearing exams take between 60-90 minutes.

Are hearing aids expensive?

Like most products, hearing aids vary in price. They can be very affordable. But they can also be very expensive. Our staff is here to help find the perfect hearing aid that fits your personal hearing needs, lifestyle, and budget.

How long do hearing aids last?

In most cases hearing aids last about five years, and sometimes much longer. If components do breakdown on a hearing aid, many parts and accessories can be repaired.

Are hearing aids covered by my insurance?

At this time, Medicare does not cover hearing aids. Medicaid often does cover hearing aids and related services for adults, and must cover them for children.

What can happen to my hearing if I ignore my hearing loss?

It may stay the same. It may get worse. But most likely, it will not get better. Medical research has shown that untreated hearing loss has many negative effects on the body, including: increased risk of injury, depression, irritability, impaired memory, and diminished overall health.

What causes hearing loss?

Many factors contribute to the development of hearing loss. Exposure to loud noise is the most common reason. However other causes of hearing loss include:

How common is hearing loss?

Hearing loss affects over 30 million people in the United States, about one in ten people. It is quite common. As such, a hearing aid is nothing to be ashamed of or cause for embarrassment.

Why are my ears ringing?

That noise you’re hearing is called tinnitus. The ringing is a result from damage to your auditory system. Tinnitus can be constant or occasional. If you are experiencing ringing in your ears you should schedule a hearing evaluation with us.

How do I know if I’m hearing-impaired?
